Whoopie!!! Finally managed to get the blog going properly – the images are in order, everything’s displaying correctly, and chances are this is how it will stay for a while, until another fantastic theme comes along.
So, the next few posts that you read were based on my travels as a PHOTOVIDEOi™ writer. Being a tech writer definitely has perks; travelling’s just one of them. Here’s a big thank you to Panasonic for sending me in 2008 – first to attend a product launch at the Palms Hotel (you can find it on Google Maps here, or visit their website at www.palms.com), and then to attend the PMA 2008 exhibition, where I got to have the first taste of what it was like at an international conference/exhibition/trade show.
While there, however, I regretted not doing a couple of things:
- Attend a show, any show
- Shop more
- Fremont Street Experience
It was a pity that Wayne Brady performed at one of the casinos AFTER we had to leave. Extending my trip then was certainly inadvisable, given that the US dollar was trading at around S$1.54, and accommodation there wasn’t exactly cheap to begin with. Could’ve gotten more shopping in too, especially at the Chelsea Premium Outlets (map here). A pity Aldo wasn’t open yet, else I might have just gone crazy there.
Also, not visiting the Fremont Street Experience (map here) proved to be a mistake. Then again, that was on the last day (the night before we were to leave LV), and for some reason serious jet lag had overtaken my colleague Timothy and I that very night. Either that or we were just working our asses off earlier in the week. I guess I’ll be bringing the missus there to LV when we can afford to go. But then again, she may just go crazy at the Kate Spade outlet…
Anyway, below you’ll find a collection of photos I took during my trip to LV. Enjoy them!
