Aaron and Melissa are a couple who strike me as the fun sort. Candid, easy-going, and very easy to work with. They were open to new ideas, which made the whole session extremely fun

Sometimes it’s easy to tell that a couple’s in love. Simple gestures, the placement of his hand on her waist, the gentleness in which she treats him, the clowning around when they think no one is watching.

This was especially so with Kit Bun and Ying Jing. The little gestures they had for each other clearly displayed their love for each other – ever so slightly, but yet ever so apparent.

First off, I have to apologise for the lack of updates.

I’ve been busy trying to find the right blog design, something that I would be most comfortable with for showing off the photos. After a tremendously long search, I’ve finally found something that I can identify myself with.

But enough about the blog; I’ve had the pleasure of shooting beside Derrick for Eugene and Seok. Believe it or not, I didn’t realise that both Eugene and Seok were from CJC, and we were even in the same batch! I wouldn’t have realized this if I hadn’t recognize Eugene’s brothers – Calvin and Chau Wang – who were from the same sec school as me too! This is indeed a very very small world (but then again, Singapore’s a tiny red dot on the world map ).

Velle is my wife S’ good friend, having been friends since their secondary school days. Both S and I first met Eric a couple of years back, and thought of him as am excellent, stand-up guy, a perfect match for Velle.

They recently got married, and I tagged along as the second photographer, shooting whenever I can get a sneak shot in, trying my best not to incur the wrath of the main photog (just kidding ).

There’s little much to say besides this, really. Having been friends with Maurice for a little over 15 years now, and having gotten to know Esther for the last 6 or so, all of us were glad to see them married =) Here’s a hearty congratulations to the both of you!

Woah, I just realised how long it has been since I last blogged. Been too busy preparing for my own wedding that I’ve almost neglected to post!

Anyhows, I’ve recently shot a pre-wedding with Derrick Ong (blog here) for one of my best friends, Maurice and Esther.

I first knew Maurice back in secondary school, when we first started playing Magic: The Gathering Trading Card Game (more about that here) with Herby, another of my best friends from secondary school. And Wee Lock, whom we met while playing Magic. The four of us have known each other for 15 years, and it was certainly an honour and  privilege to shoot for Maurice and Esther’s pre-wedding.

While the weather wasn’t great that day, Derrick and I made the most out of our shots, revising the angles and exposures to achieve what we thought was best for Maurice and Esther. Below are some shots we managed to get from that day. You can find the slideshow here.

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting June Hwee and his wife Hwee Yen’s wedding last year in December.

June Hwee was my 2I/C back in our old 41SAR days, so it was pretty easy to get him comfortable with my constant presence. As I was the 2nd photographer (they’ve already engaged someone else), I decided to keep out of the way of the main photographer and just shoot discretely from the sides. Plus, with June Hwee telling me that I’m a guest, I certainly should not let the food go to waste!
